Transitional Housing Program
Housing with Support
Looking for Stability? We’re Here to Help.
Being a single mother or expecting a baby while facing homelessness or housing insecurity can be overwhelming. At St. Ann’s Center, we understand how hard it can be to find a safe, supportive place where you can focus on what matters most—your family and your future.
That’s why we created Faith House and Hope House—two programs designed to give you the stability you need, while helping you build toward a more independent and secure future.
Faith House
If you’re looking for a balance of independence and support, Faith House might be right for you. Located in a standalone building on our campus, Faith House offers eight private, one-bedroom apartments where you’ll have your own space while sharing a kitchen and living areas with other mothers. You’ll have the opportunity to live more independently but still receive full access to St. Ann’s supportive services—everything from career counseling to life skills training—so you can focus on building a stable future.
Hope House
If you feel like you need more supervision and mentoring while adjusting to motherhood, Hope House offers large, single-family units with shared living spaces, located on the second floor of our main building. Here, you’ll receive 24-hour supervision and mentoring, along with the same wrap-around support services provided in Faith House. You’ll have a team of people committed to helping you manage your responsibilities while learning to balance parenting and independence.
How We Help You Succeed
Both Hope House and Faith House are designed to meet your immediate needs and prepare you for long-term success. We offer on-site services to help you every step of the way:
- Career Guidance: Our Employment & Education Counselor will help you explore your career goals and take steps toward a family-sustaining job.
- Parenting and Life Skills: With the help of our **Resident & Life Skills Managers**, you’ll take part in weekly classes that build on your strengths and teach you how to manage the responsibilities of parenting and everyday life.
- Child Care: You’ll have access to our affordable, on-site Child Care Center, so you can focus on building your future while knowing your child is cared for. If your children are five or older, they can attend nearby Prince George’s County public schools.
- Supportive Counseling: You’ll work with our Social Work Services team for one-on-one counseling and case management, helping you overcome challenges, set goals, and move forward with confidence.
