St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families currently works with more than 400 individual and group volunteers who are crucial to helping us further our mission. These dedicated individuals share their time, energy and kindness to ensure that St. Ann’s families are provided extra support and understanding in their journeys towards permanent housing and financial independence.

On-site Volunteer Opportunities
Targeted, focused activities that take place at St. Ann's Center.

  • Mentors for Mothers* – Recruitment ongoing; program starts June 2025
  • Parenting Instructors – Thursdays evenings (one-time or recurring)
  • Life Skills Instructors – Thursdays evenings (one-time or recurring)
  • Spanish Interpreters* – Thursday evenings
  • Evening Child Care Volunteers* – Two Thursdays a month (must be 18+)
  • Birthday Party Hosts – Monthly, select Saturdays: 11 am to 1 pm
  • Spring Gala Volunteers – May 14, 2025 (slots from 3:30 PM; Must be 21+)
  • Immigration Lawyer – Ongoing
  • Activity Instructors for Mothers and Children – Tuesday Evenings & Saturdays 11 am to 1 pm
  • Special Needs Child Care* – Weekday afternoons

*Prospective long-term, on-site volunteers are required by State regulations to pass a Criminal Background check and a Tuberculosis (PPD) test. 

 

Off-site Volunteer Opportunities
Flexible opportunities that can work with anyone's schedule.

  • Fundraiser Coordinators – Raise funds or gift cards for families through creative events like races, walks, or carnivals.
  • Donation Drive Coordinators – Lead a drive for St. Ann's wish list items at your church, workplace, or community.
  • Social Media Ambassadors – Share and re-post about St. Ann’s on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Care Pack Assembler – Assemble care packages or create small activity kits for children and mothers!
