Thank you for your interest in St. Ann’s volunteer opportunities. Our volunteers are a vital part of our mission to heal, strengthen and inspire vulnerable young families.

Volunteer

"If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in the darkness and your gloom will be as the noonday.”

Isaiah 58:10

St. Ann’s Center for Children, Youth and Families currently works with more than 400 individual and group volunteers who are crucial to helping us further our mission. These dedicated individuals share their time, energy and kindness to ensure that St. Ann’s families are provided extra support and understanding in their journeys towards permanent housing and financial independence.

On-site Volunteer Opportunities

  • Attorneys: Provide general advice on family law, immigration, and/or renters’ rights
  • Mentors: Offer support and encouragement to residents in our residential programs
  • Photographers: Someone with professional photography experience to capture portraits of the women and children we serve.
  • Spanish/English language volunteers: assist with our programs for Spanish speaking residents and translation of educational materials.

Prospective long-term, on-site volunteers are required by State regulations to pass a Criminal Background check and a Tuberculosis (PPD) test.

Off-site Volunteer Opportunities

  • Join our Young Professionals Network and socialize while helping St. Ann’s families.
  • Become a St. Ann's Ambassador and re-post and share about St. Ann's on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Lead a drive at your church, civic organization, or workplace for St. Ann’s wish list items.
  • For a birthday or anniversary, collect gift cards for our residents. (Giant, Safeway, CVS, Target, Walmart, McDonald’s, IHOP and Home Depot are especially popular.)
  • Raise funds for our families through a race or walk, a benefit performance, a lemonade stand, or a backyard carnival—your imagination is the limit!
  • Compile small “activity kits” for children ages 3 to 9 (coloring sheets and crayons, simple seasonal crafts, etc.) or for our mothers (jewelry, sun catchers, holiday decorations, etc.)
